I thought I’d look around the web at some poetry as I was sitting here carefully trying to direct my thoughts into enough posts to successfully finish the 30 Day Blogging Challenge…
I found a really cool one that is attributed to one of my favorite writers of all time…”anonymous”. If you haven’t read any of anonymous’ stuff, I suggest you check it out. Okay, that wasn’t as funny as I thought it would be. But really, it seems to me that some of the best stuff that’s out there is in the form of thought and is credited to no one. Perhaps existing as the muse to our collective consciousness make these poems, quotes and stories even more valuable.
As I was searching around, I was thinking about how each of us can make such a big difference with anything we set our minds to, and I happened to stumble across a poem that talked about that very subject.
Isn’t it crazy and also wonderful how that works? Maybe a little more crazy…

One song can spark a moment,
One flower can wake the dream,
One tree can start a forest,
One bird can herald spring.
One smile begins a friendship,
One handclasp lifts a soul.
One star can guide a ship at sea,
One word can frame the goal.
One vote can change a nation,
One sunbeam lights a room,
One candle wipes out darkness,
One laugh will conquer gloom.
One step must start each journey,
One word must start each prayer,
One hope will raise our spirits,
One touch can show you care.
One voice can speak with wisdom,
One heart can know what’s true,
One life can make a difference,
You see, it’s up to you!
