The Meaning of Life?

At one time or another, I’m sure you’ve asked yourself something like, “what in the heck is this life all about?”  Or maybe more specifically, “what am I here for?”  I know that there have been times in my life where I have definitely wondered such things.

Well, I think I have the answer for you and me and anyone else who has ever wondered such things.

For starters, think about the one thing that you can do better than anyone else on the planet.  It should be obvious…but I know it’s not.  Don’t over-think this, just use your common sense.  Here’s a hint…no one else in the world is equipped to do this as good as you.  Have you come up with it?

Well, I won’t keep you guessing.  The answer is simply this; be yourself.

Your purpose for being here is to be the best version of you that is possible.

In spite of that nudge you might feel from the television, or from advertisements on billboards and in magazines to be someone else in order to find happiness and purpose, the answer to how you can stand out, be totally unique, and accomplish your ultimate task is really quite elementary…just be YOU.  Seriously, there’s no one else like you!

And it’s not only about being unique.  It’s also about fulfilling your purpose.  It’s exactly what you’re here for!

The meaning of life is all the stuff you learn as you get out there and actively participate in your journey.  No spectators here!

Once you have resolved that your true calling is to simply take the pressure off of  yourself and be you, this thing we call life can really start to be fun.

The great benefit to realizing that being yourself is what you are here to do, is that you will start to line up with those things that make you feel good and that you are most passionate about.  You will begin to find direction and purpose.

The real reason that so many people seem to wander around without a definitive mission, or struggle just to “get by” is because they haven’t come to the realization that being who they are, and operating from that foundation is the key to everything else that will follow.

Get to know yourself. Embrace those things that you think are wonderful.  Connect with the person you really are, deep down in your heart, and also right there on the surface. YOU are the one that can take your life and turn it into the greatest version of YOU that could ever exist.  And the possibilities are limitless.

Listen, you aren’t George Washington, Johnny Carson, The Jackson 5, Joe Dimaggio, Meryl Streep, Thomas Edison, Mother Teresa, Brad Pitt, The Beatles, Kobe Bryant, Jerry Seinfeld or Leonardo daVinci.  But, that’s the good news!  Seriously…the Universe is screaming at you, “been there, done that”.  It’s time for YOU to become the person you were meant to be.  And by limitless possibilities, I mean exactly that.  The only think holding you back from becoming the greatest version of you imaginable are your own restricting thoughts and beliefs.

All of us become limited only by what we accept as limiting.

Don’t get messed up in all that.  Just because someone else has already invented the light bulb, the airplane, candy-coated peanuts and the iPad…don’t think you can’t contribute to this world in your own huge and significant way.

There are people out there who need you, and there is a circle of life that you are intended to influence and inspire.  It all starts with stopping the madness, and just being yourself.

So here’s the funny part about the whole “meaning of life” thing…

You’ve known what it was all along!  It’s right there inside you.  You came with all the factory pre-installed tools, bell and whistles, talent, motivation and drive to get yourself where you need to be.  If you haven’t realized it to this point in your life, and have instead found yourself asking the kind of questions we started this post with, it’s simply because you haven’t taken the time to get still and be real. With YOU.

Yes…it’s always been all about you!

    Martha –

I’m so glad that the post was inspiring to you!

Thanks for visiting, I always enjoy hearing from you.

And there is NOBODY in the world that could ever be a more perfect version of YOU than YOU!

I really believe that if we operate from that mindset, it really starts to bring clarity of vision to whatever it is we want to achieve.

    Take care
