The Good Stuff

The Good Stuff

I had a great conversation earlier in the week with some people about living a life filled with thankfulness. We talked about how wonderful and amazing life really is when you become conscious of the blessings surrounding you.  We also agreed that the more thankful you are for the things you currently have, the more likely you are to start stock piling more stuff that will bring you that same feeling of thankfulness. Think It Through

Think It Through

There is a poem that I have kept with me since I was a kid.  It has been a source of inspiration for years and I really wanted to share it with you tonight. When I mean that I've kept it, I mean that it has either been up on my office wall, or tucked in a notebook in my room, and it seems that I've always been able to access it when I have needed to for the last 30-some-odd years.  Of course, this is not hard now that we have the internet, and I'm pretty sure that I found the latest and greatest version that I have online. Anyway, the kids were served their fabulous meals in cardboard cars that were doubling as platters.  My [...]

Take Five

Take Five

I was sitting in my office yesterday and I noticed an employee from another company within the building outside my window. Yes, I'm ground floor.  Not the corner penthouse, yet... Anyway, the guy was pacing around and reading from what looked to be a religious book.  He was walking back and forth, rather quickly and was reading the words out loud. It occurred to me that if it was indeed some inspirational text that he was reading from, he was really making it meaningful.  And it was great to watch.  I mean, look, sitting in a [...]
