It’s impossible to express the thanks to our mothers to the degree that they deserve it. Moms are just the greatest people on the planet. It’s as simple as that.
Of course I wanted to post and say Happy Mother’s Day to my own mom, who throughout my life has always been there, always cared, and continually provided a foundation of security, love, forgiveness, and support that is unmatched in this universe.
I also want to say Happy Mother’s Day and a huge thank you to my wonderful wife, who has made our home the greatest place on earth, and who has done a remarkable job turning our two children into amazing little people. I guarantee you that the kids will always have incredible things to say about their mother!
I was reading stuff online about Mother’s Day, and again, there is no way that I can possibly express the right feelings or be anywhere near the right magnitude when talking about moms, so I picked a real simple poem and decided to share it with you.
This is one of those poems that if you read it and don’t give it any real thought, it may just sound cute, rhyme well, and seem to express a nice little “greeting card” sentiment. However, if you take a different approach and imagine your own mother, and feel the words that are being expressed, you might find that it really touches your heart and makes today even better than it already is. Read it and see. It was written by Joanna Fuchs, and I ran across it on PoemSource.com. Enjoy, and Happy Mother’s Day!
Everything Mom
How did you find the energy, Mom
To do all the things you did?
To be teacher, nurse and counselor
To me, when I was a kid?
How did yo do it all, Mom,
Be a chauffeur, cook and friend,
Yet find time to be a playmate,
I just can’t comprehend.
I see now it was love, Mom
That made you come whenever I’d call,
Your inexhaustible love, Mom
And I thank you for it all.
