Today’s tip? An easy one. Drink some water.
I know, I know, it sounds a little annoying and cliche at this point. And you’ve probably heard everyone from your ever-energetic neighbor who seems to be in perfect physical condition to your chiropractor, who scuba dives twice a week and only eats salmon on Thursday, how good it is for you to drink water.
I heard a comedian last night talking about how drinking water has become the defacto cure for everything in our lives. He was joking that people will say things like, “So, you’re car isn’t running smoothly? Hmmm, maybe you need to drink more water”. Yes, it’s true, it does get talked about a lot. I just wonder, how often does it get done?
Because I’ll tell you something, in spite of how 2010 it sounds, and all the the punch lines…it really is great advice!
It’s good for you! And that fact won’t waver back and forth like it has with milk, eggs, garlic, Barney, or winning the lottery…
Water will refresh your body, and it’s not loaded up with a whole bunch of crap like sugar, syrup, processed stuff or calories.
Throw down some agua in the morning and it will get your body and all your organs up and running smoothly. Drink some every day and it can lower your blood pressure. Slam a glass before a meal and it will serve as an effective appetite suppressant.
Yes, it is sort of a miracle elixir!
You can even use it to take a bath or shower, go for a swim, or have a balloon war. Water rules.
So today, take my annoying advice…have some water!
