Everyone is looking for the wonder drug. The one that you can take at any time and in any situation and which will make things better almost instantly.
Everyone…you’re search is over!
I know what the wonder drug is and I am pleased to announce that I will be sharing it with everyone at no charge. Are you interested?
It’s actually been around for a while and has been dubbed “the best medicine” by many.
You guessed it, it’s laughter.
No matter what is going on in your life right now, I would challenge you to break out into laughter and see if the situation doesn’t immediately get better. I’m totally convinced that it will. You might not want to do it if you’re sitting in a crowded library or if you’re in the middle of a church service, but if you use mild discretion, you can pretty much laugh anytime, anywhere, and at anything.
I’ve always been a big believer in laughter, and I think I really started to experience the power that it had very early in my life. I actually had the honor of writing a guest post on a very cool blog called TeachHealCreate.com and I wrote a little about this topic. Go check it out HERE if you’d like to read it.
Laughter is absolutely pure and it is totally healing. When you laugh you can’t be mad, you can’t be sad, and you can’t be worried.
The tough part can be laughing in the face of adversity or in the face of a great challenge. I know that’s tough. But I do think it’s a conscious decision you can make, and it seems to be a better one than crumbling under pressure or folding under stress. It can really be a release for your spirit.
The other thing it can do is lift you to a higher level of consciousness and put you in a place where you can more easily become inspired. This will move you much closer to coming up with a solution to your circumstance or challenge, and that’s a good place to be.
And finally, laughter can just make you feel better. You may have heard some of the miraculous stories about people being healed of their illnesses, some of them after being diagnosed with terminal diseases, primarily by the power of laughter. I want to just say that if the power of laughter can bring a mortal back from the depths of facing something like cancer, it can undoubtedly help you with wherever you find yourself. No matter how desperate you may feel at the moment.
